I'm a happily married man who is retired and still enjoys being a former Marine. I've enjoyed several high level professional positions with the Library of Congress, where I was an Analyst in American National Government; I was Chief of Research & Analysis for the U.S. House of Representatives' Select Committee on the Assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; and I was the Chief Investigator for a House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee overseeing governance of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and the implementation of Title IX, the law enacted to bring about gender parity in the athletic/academic arena. I love reading poetry. My most beloved poet was Pablo Nerudo. I thoroughly enjoy meeting and socializing with diverse people. I am a marathon swimmer, but only in my own pool during late spring/summer, and autumn. I very much love and respect all animals, but dogs are my favorite. My wife, Robbie, and I once had two beautiful Lhasa Apso. I more than enjoy vacationing in Tuscany and Jamaica, though I must admit, I absoltely love Hong Kong. My goal in life is to work toward the betterment of education for all children, first and foremost, those who are living in America's poorest urban areas. Finally, no longer do I take for granted my freedom. I collect antique clocks because, as I like to say: "Clocks are my favorite friends, because they always have time for me." Aside for collecting antique clocks, I love gardening.
